Bicheno is just north of the world-renowned Freycinet Peninsula on Tasmania’s East Coast.

There is also plenty to do without getting wet. Motor tricycle tours, wine tours and walks to the blowhole or out along the sandbar to Diamond Island Nature Reserve are popular.

Bicheno has mild weather, with an average maximum of 21 degrees Celsius (70 degrees Fahrenheit) in January and 14.5 degrees Celsius (48 degrees Fahrenheit) in June.

The town is about 2½ hours’ drive (182 kilometres) north-east of Hobart via the Tasman Highway and 2¼ hours' drive (157 kilometres) south-west of Launceston.
