Fingal is a rural town in the verdant Fingal Valley.

As you drive down the main street of Fingal your attention will be caught by the facades of the impressive 19th Century buildings, including the Town Hall (formerly the Council Chambers) and the Fingal Hotel. On the opposite sides of the street is the old bakery building and post office, as well as the Old Tasmanian Hotel Building which was constructed of stone removed from the old prison barracks.
