Pyengana
Pyengana is located in a green fertile valley which makes it a high producer of quality dairy products.
A visit to Pyengana should include:
Dairy farms
St Columba Falls
Historic buildings and artifacts
Pyengana is one of Tasmania's dairy hotspots. You can also see the beautiful St Columba Falls with an abundance of large man ferns in the temperate rainforest, visit with the pigs at the local "watering hole"; or try some of the cheese this area is famous for.
On the way to Pyengana you can also turn off to experience the sub-alpine environment of the Blue Tier, and if time permits have a walk. Or if you're short on time but would still like to view the relics of a bygone era, take the short walk to the Anchor Stampers, one of the remaining artifacts of the areas mining history
